"Journey 2 the Internet"
j2i.top is a general purpose, non specific, short and memorable domain used for a variety of small projects.
As developers, sometimes we want to put small projects online but don't want to necessarily purchase a new domain name for each one. Moreover, sometimes we don't want to publish them under our name either. Thus, a short, memorable, non-specific base domain name is perfect.
Honestly, I spent about 5 minutes trying to come up with short domain names that were somewhat memorable. The name "Journey 2 the Internet" kind of came after. The ".top" TLD was chosen because it's one of the cheapest TLDs to renew (roughly $5USD on Porkbun) and it's general-purpose.
